Foxwood Junior League
Program Description
The Junior League at Foxwood Golf Club is a great way for your young golfers aged 6-16 to play golf this summer. If your child is new to the game, or even has lots of experience playing, there is something for everyone in this league.
The league will be run by Jim Duggan, the General Manager at Foxwood along with an enthusiastic team of volunteers. Each week there will be skill based instruction and practice games followed by on course playing opportunities.
Location: Foxwood Golf Club
Dates: Thursday’s (July 2nd – August 27th)
Time: Instruction Begins at 6pm, Tee Times Begin at 645pm, Pick Up Time 830pm
Cost: $199 plus tax
Parent Volunteers are needed to help with taking a group of junior golfers on the course each week.
Parents will be asked to help keep the juniors moving along and helping with basic rules of golf.
Students will be guided through the USKids Golf Player Pathway Program. The Pathway program is a series of leveled and skill based books in which players will have the opportunity progress through during the summer golf season.
The league will not be collecting or tallying scores on a weekly basis or providing weekly prizes. This league is designed to teach the proper mechanics of the golf swing and get them more comfortable on the course. They will learn etiquette and how to play by the rules of golf.
